The Diet That Saved Me

I call it the low inflammation diet, because let’s be honest, our brains are on FIRE. Yes, mine literally burns. My hair falls out, it’s sensitive to touch, the list goes on. .

This was the diet I started before I knew I had mold in my brain. I continued it because I knew the mold caused many other issues, like autoimmune diseases. So I followed to the diet from Dr. Amy Myers: The Autoimmune Solution. This diet greatly helped me to reverse the spectrum of inflammatory symptoms. Is the diet fun? No, not really? It eliminates a lot of the really good stuff, like a massive cheeseburger, pizza, and my all-time favorite…burritos. But, I’ve managed to get past all the good stuff and create recipes that I really enjoy. Because if I’m being honest, I wanted nothing to do with inflammation. And if that meant being strict on my diet, then so be it!

Chronic and debilitating diseases are normally handles with cocktails of medications. That will not help us mold people. This diet, can help reverse inflammation. And with lower inflammation, means more better days of feeling better. So cheers to reclaiming your health!

First off, there’s a laundry list of foods I had to eliminate. Are you ready?

  1. Gluten (forever)
  2. Dairy (forever) — Rough start, am I right? I’ll keep going.
  3. Sugar
  4. Caffeine
  5. Grains
  6. Pseudo-grains
  7. Legumes
  8. Peas
  9. Corn
  10. Soy
  11. Preservatives
  12. Food Coloring
  13. Starches
  14. Soy
  15. Eggs
  16. Alcohol
  17. GMOs
  18. Packaged Foods
  19. Processed Foods
  20. Peanuts (they’re moldy)
  21. Seeds
  22. High Glycemic Foods

Glad that’s over. I know the list is long, but from what I have learned from Dr. Amy Myers, there’s 4 R’s you need to help your heal your gut and lower inflammation: Remove, Replace, Reinoculate, and Repair.

Remove: Remove all the foods above. But also, remove anything else toxic to your body. Pay attention to what’s added to your shampoo, conditioner, lotions and potions, face wash, makeup, laundry detergent, dish soap, chemical cleaners, etc.

Replace: Replace the good in your body by adding in digestive enzymes. You will see in my protocol a long list of supplements I take to add in the goods.

Reinoculate: Restore the good bacteria in your body with a high-quality, multi-strain, high-potency probiotic. I change my probiotics once I finish the bottle. Switch them up to give your body new strains!

Repair: Repair your body by giving yourself the right nutrients to restore your gut and lower inflammation. I have many supplements also listed in my Protocol that help repair my body.

I know you will want to reach for that pizza, or just a bite of chocolate, but whatever you do, don’t do it! If that means not going out to restaurants with family and friends for awhile, then so be it. You need to look at your diet as if it will save your life, because it really can help you get your life back.
